Alan Myers could not believe what he saw during Everton’s Carabao Cup defeat away to Wolves on Tuesday night.
It was a disappointing night all round for the Blues, with David Moyes now seeing his side suffer back-to-back defeats across all competitions.
Following their Merseyside Derby loss at the weekend against Liverpool, facing a struggling Wolves offered Everton the perfect chance to get back on track.
That did not prove to the case despite James Tarkowski saying Everton were prioritising the cups this season.
Well, one cup is already off the cards, with Everton now only left with the FA Cup to push for later on in the season.
It was a frustrating evening for the travelling fans, who packed out the away end at Molineux, with Everton News columnist Alan Myers left perplexed by something he saw.

Alan Myers stunned with Everton decision from David Moyes
Everton made some wholesale changes ahead of the game at Molineux, despite not playing next until Monday evening.
Jack Grealish impressed after coming on for Everton, but the Blues were already chasing the game at that point.
Taking to social media, Myers admitted he could not understand why Moyes did not select his strongest side to progress in the cup.
‘I will never understand not playing your strongest team, never,’ the Everton News columnist very simply put it on X.
Earlier in the week, Myers admitted Moyes had an interesting selection decision to make on the back of the Merseyside Derby loss at Anfield.
However, it was clear that the 62-year-old did not get his decisions right, with Everton losing to a side that has not picked up a single point in the league this season.
