Everton were handed a major boost on Friday when it comes to their potential takeover with a big update coming a week out from their 2024/25 curtain raiser.
It has been a long, old year for Evertonians who have been waiting patiently when it comes to the takeover saga.
Sean Dyche‘s side were able to do the business last term and ensure Everton would be playing Premier League football once again this season.
Having seen two proposed takeover bids fall flat over recent months, Friday offered a real glimmer of hope.
John Textor launched a new bid for Everton having previously put forward an offer for the club back in June.
And there is something happening on Merseyside which is not just exciting for the fans but also for any prospective new owners.

Alan Myers excited after what he has saw at Everton amid fresh takeover bid
Despite The Friedkin Group’s interest in purchasing Everton falling through, it has been a pretty positive summer for the Toffees.
Of course, Friday’s news of Textor’s return to the table was a massive boost with the development offering fans a lot of hope ahead of the new term.
But the likes of Kevin Thelwell have been hard at work in ensuring Dyche has what he needs from the transfer window to continue the club’s development.
However, there is something happening away from Goodison which is potentially the most exciting thing of all currently surrounding the club.

Speaking on the View From The Bullens podcast, Alan Myers has been left stunned by his recent tour of the new stadium.
But aside from the impressive tangible aspects of the development, Myers has shared just how big of a boost it could be for Farhad Moshiri in his attempts to sell Everton.
“If we were to get European football and, you know, Champions League football and all the rest of it, I think then obviously you can argue that we need probably more [capacity] but it is, for me, it’s something special. I’m so excited,” said Myers.
“It’s also, you know, when you look at new owners coming in… you can’t help but be fascinated by that, be excited about that.
“From a commercial point of view, if you’re a new owner coming in; you see the commercial benefits of that and just the excitement of it.
“You know, it’s a completely different club, if you’re selling Goodison Park. So in that respect, it’s so exciting.”
Bramley-Moore Dock will be a huge boost for Everton
There are many reasons why changing stadium will be huge for Everton’s growth both on and off the pitch over the coming years.
Already Everton have secured a huge commercial deal with Aramark which is going to dramatically increase the revenue at the club.
‘The company are big financial players. They have just agreed a deal with Barcelona to take over nearly £100m worth of debt, for example,’ said financial expert Adam Williams.
‘However, I would suggest that the language ‘the biggest deal commercial deals in the Club’s history’ probably refers to the scope of the deal and the value of future earnings as opposed to the upfront fee.’
This is not just good news for Everton, but it is even better new for any potential new owners who will be seeing the opportunities available as a result of the new stadium.
As Myers suggests, this stadium could be a real game-changer for Everton.
