There is a lot of speculation about what Everton might get up to on transfer deadline day.
The club have gone on a really good run of results since David Moyes came in, which has calmed things down a bit at the club.
But for some, there is still need for the club to make signings. Alan Shearer recently urged Everton to sign a couple of players before the deadline – and many fans agreed with him.
Charly Alcaraz will sign for Everton later today having already undergone is medical.
There has been talk about Moyes potentially bringing in a new striker too.
But it’s though Beto could now stay at Everton, which may be an indicator that there won’t be an incoming there.
Earlier this morning, the well-informed Alan Myers dropped an update regarding what Everton could actually do today – and it likely won’t go down well.
Alan Myers doesn’t ‘expect’ too much Everton activity on deadline day

Earlier this morning, Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers took to X to report on Everton and their plans today.
One person asked if there was anything in the pipeline today for Everton.
Myers replied: “I’m not expecting too much tbh.”
We know that Alcaraz is coming in, and Myers stated in a separate message that the announcement of that particular deal is expected later today.
But seemingly, it is actually set to be a quiet day at Finch Farm despite all the noise.
Recent results may have changed the picture for Everton
There’s no doubt that Everton are in the market for more additions after Alcaraz.
There are always things that can crop up, and breakthroughs can happen with just hours to go.
But for the moment, it seems like Everton are not set to go crazy and sign three or four more players.

And one does wonder if recent results and performances under Moyes have changed the picture for Everton officials.
Moyes has had a brilliant impact since he came in, and got a tune out of many players who just weren’t performing beforehand under Dyche.
Had Moyes not won three games in a row, then it’s very possible Everton may have already got some deals done by now and on deadline day.
