Everton are set to burst into life on transfer deadline day.

Fans have been made to wait extremely patiently over the last four weeks, with Everton still yet to register their first signing.

A lot has changed on Merseyside in that time with David Moyes making his return and numerous players sidelined through injuries.

But no new faces have landed at Goodison Park to bolster the 61-year-old’s side.

Everton are negotiating a deal for Junior Dina Ebimbe, but a late move for the midfielder may be a tricky one to pull off now.

The players on the pitch have been able to return the goods with three consecutive wins in the Premier League.

However, the lack of returns in the transfer window from Kevin Thelwell has been extremely underwhelming.

Carlos Alcaraz ready to sign Everton contract

Although the Toffees have not officially done any business yet, Carlos Alcaraz has agreed to sign for Everton on an initial loan until the end of the season.

The Argentine has Premier League experience from his time at Southampton, but he is joining from Flamengo.

According to journalist Bruno Lemos, the midfielder has now completed his medical on Sunday and is set to sign his contract on Monday morning.

‘Carlos Alcaraz has passed his medical and will sign a contract with Everton tomorrow [Monday],’ he said on social media.

‘Everton should make the player’s signing official after the signing, which will be made tomorrow [Monday.’

Alcaraz flew into England on Saturday to begin his medical at Finch Farm.

It may have been left late, but having Alcaraz ready to ink his deal at Goodison Park is the perfect way for the Toffees to start deadline day.

Everton must add more signings before the deadline

There have been some really promising signs for Moyes on Merseyside since he made his return.

James Garner wowed after returning from injury on the weekend and looks set to offer the Scotsman a strong option in midfield.

He has not been the only positive, with Everton fans really impressed by Beto who netted a brace against Leicester City.

However, the Toffees know all too well just how quickly things can come undone as a result of injuries.

And now is not a time to stand still in the market, the Friedkins must build on the recent upturn in form which the 61-year-old has brought to Everton.
