Transfer deadline day is upon and Everton are expected to be active right up until the window slams shut at 11pm.
Everton are on the verge of signing Carlos Alcaraz after agreeing an initial loan deal with Brazilian outfit Flamengo.
Alcaraz’s move will become permanent if certain clauses are met and it’s thought he could be used in the Marouane Fellaini mould, as a really attacking midfielder.
David Moyes is also desperate to sign a striker after the injuries to Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin last month.
Rangers forward Hamza Igamane has been eyed by Everton chiefs, but that deal is unlikely to materialise due to the finances it would require.
On the outgoing front, there isn’t expected to be much movement and that’s been further cemented as the latest update on Beto’s future emerges.

Beto will stay at Everton until at least June
Beto has been linked with Torino for most of the transfer window and it looked almost certain that he’d leave.
In fact, Beto even told Moyes he wanted to depart Goodison Park amid multiple bids from the Serie A outfit.
It’s understood the talks were quite heated and Moyes, at the time, was happy to sanction his sale if a replacement was lined up.
But now, in a remarkable u-turn, the £16m-rated Beto will be staying put on Merseyside this month and it seems his two-goal display against Leicester City has had a major influence on that change of stance.
Beto will finally get run of games at Everton
Whilst he hasn’t been totally convincing in his cameo appearances, Beto evidently hasn’t had a fair run of games in the starting line-up.
Sean Dyche started him just once in the Premier League before Moyes took over despite Calvert-Lewin’s poor form.
Now, Beto is expected to be Everton’s main man up front and he’s certainly made a good start to what he will hope to be a renaissance on Merseyside.
He looked every inch of the £30m striker the club thought they were signing from Udinese on the weekend.
