Everton have finally found some stability since the turn of the year following some big changes on Merseyside.

David Moyes has been able to guide the Toffees to safety, with the Blues sat up in 13th spot of the Premier League with six games to go.

The changes seen at Everton has even had Sean Dyche admit the Friedkins were right to sack him as he shed some praise on his successor.

Over recent years, there have been plenty of managers coming and going from Merseyside.

Former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti could return to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur showing a real interest.

And former Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has now recalled something about the Italian that he just found maddening during their time together at Goodison.

Alex Iwobi shares ‘crazy’ Carlo Ancelotti memory from Everton

Ancelotti’s time at Real Madrid could well be coming to an end this summer following their Champions League exit.

Having returned to England to face Arsenal, Ancelotti shared his love for Everton after spending some time up on Merseyside.

Speaking to Sky Sports, his former player, Iwobi, has just admitted the Everton players were in true awe of the Italian manager when he walked into Finch Farm.

“They [Ancelotti and Wenger] were similar in the sense they didn’t really get angry, they were very patient. They’re both men of few words, but when they walk in a room, everyone is silent. That aura is crazy!” he said.

“When he signed for Everton, when he first walked into the lunch room everyone was silent; it was crazy. Everyone just respected him.”

“Uncle Carlo had me a bit more structured. The position I was playing under him was a bit different to now. So, my role was to just lend the ball and make runs off the ball.”

Iwobi has also praised Marco Silva after the former Everton manager recruited him following his own move down to Fulham after being sacked.

But it is clear there was something different about Ancelotti when he walked into the club.

Gary Lineker has praised Iwobi for what he has been able to produce in London since making the move to the Cottagers.

His spell under Silva has certainly been his most prolific in the Premier League.

Although he has sung the praise of Ancelotti, Iwobi did not exactly flourish under the 65-year-old whilst at Everton.

Dyche said he didn’t want to sell Iwobi, but the decision was out of his hands and he now looks like a player who got away from the Blues.
