Everton are set to go after a new striker this summer, as the club seek to start the Bramley-Moore Dock era in the right way.
David Moyes has done a brilliant job since replacing Sean Dyche in January.
The Friedkin Group turned to Moyes and gave him the task of keeping the club in the Premier League.
In the end, he achieved that with ease, with Everton’s mathematical safety to be confirmed very soon – currently, the Toffees are 17 points clear with just six games to go.
Fans are already looking forward to next season.
And there is a good chance the squad will be looking very different, with several set to leave.
It’s thought Everton will look to sign a new striker and in recent days, a couple of players have been mentioned.
Liam Delap is thought to be of interest to Everton, with the youngster having impressed at Ipswich Town this term.
And Evan Ferguson is a player Everton still like, having considered a move for him in January. Ultimately though, Everton could not free up a loan spot to get him from Brighton.
Everton fans would prefer Liam Delap to Evan Ferguson

On social media, fans have been talking about who they would prefer to see leading the line for Everton.
Delap and Ferguson appear to be the two most prominent names right now in terms of potential new number centre-forwards.
And it would seem Ipswich striker Delap is who most would prefer this summer.
@BM_Blues1878 said: “Delap all day.”
@JamesBrownEFC said: “Delap, Ferguson can’t even get a game at West Ham.”
@teL4__ added: “Evan ferguson cant stay fit.”
@AnthonyWileman said: “Delap without a doubt.”
@aide_dews said: “Delap. Ferguson seems to of dropped of a cliff in development, can’t really get a kick at West Ham atm. But Delap seems to be the whole package, decent pace, a unit, puts himself about and can finish.”
Delap stance may prompt Everton to target Ferguson instead
There were, of course, some Everton fans choosing Ferguson. But the vast majority of Evertonians replying to the post by @NilSatisNews on X were team Delap.
Delap has undoubtedly been impressive in a struggling Ipswich team this season.
But the issue for Everton is that Delap would apparently favour a team offering European football.
Everton obviously can’t do that, and so, Moyes may yet make a beeline for Ferguson this summer.
Ferguson is currently on loan at West Ham United. But has only made six appearances so far.
Duncan Ferguson suggested Everton need a top striker to challenge for European football, and out of these two at the moment, Delap does seem to be developing quicker and have a greater chance of becoming that top striker.
