Everton fans may have Angus Kinnear to thank if Hayden Hackney does sign over the coming weeks.

There has naturally been a lot of frustration among some Everton supporters following the club’s underwhelming end to the season.

Hackney is open to joining Everton as talks with the midfielder and his camp have developed over recent hours.

Angus Kinnear talks crucial to Everton’s pursuit for Hayden Hackney

Everton are not alone in their interest in Hackney, with numerous other Premier League clubs in the running for the midfielder.

However, the Blues have made a strong start to their pursuit of the Middlesbrough star man.

Over on A View From The Bullens, The Bobble has credited Kinnear’s presentation as hugely important in recent talks with Hackney and his camp.

It is claimed the presentation led by Kinnear has provided Hackney’s camp a lot of confidence over a possible move to Merseyside.

Recently, Kinnear backed David Moyes amid Everton’s poor form towards the back end of the season.

This did not particularly go down well with a number of Everton supporters over on TalkingPoints.

The Everton CEO’s role in the transfer talks with Hackney will go a long way towards improving his credentials on Merseyside.

Clearly, Everton have made a strong start in talks with the Englishman and his camp, but it is important they now get this deal over the line.
