Everton have been informed that signing summer target Josh Acheampong will not be possible.

Chelsea and Everton have dealt over recent windows with the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall making the move to Merseyside from west London.

More players could follow, with Everton holding the option to buy Tyrique George from the Blues this summer.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

Everton told Josh Acheampong is not for sale

Everton hold an interest in Acheampong after a strong 2025/26 campaign for the Blues as a 20-year-old breakthrough player.

The right-back made 30 appearances across all competitions, which has seemingly excited Alonso ahead of his arrival.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed Chelsea will be rejecting offers landing at their door this summer for the young right-back.

How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩

It is even said Acheampong has been described as ‘untouchable’ ahead of Alonso’s arrival at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.

Although two Premier League clubs and others from across Europe have shown interest, the youngster will not be on the move.

Enzo Maresca has raved about Acheampong following his stint as the Chelsea manager, with the defender clearly holding bags of potential.

Whether David Moyes would have been able to extract that potential is another matter, though.

One thing is certain and that is Everton are looking to add a new right-back following a difficult season in that position.

Having witnessed the struggles of Tyler Dibling and even George, Everton may find it difficult to attract young prospects this summer.
