Everton are in search of further additions as they narrow in on the signing of Thierno Barry.
Landing Barry from Villarreal will hopefully kickstart an influx of new faces on Merseyside, with plenty of work needing to be done this summer.
David Moyes has prioritised a new striker signing after losing Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent at the end of June.
Given the number of Finch Farm exits, Everton will be on the search for potential double-figure additions before the window shuts.
Newly-appointed CEO Angus Kinnear is expecting a huge summer for Everton, having been tasked with an ‘unprecedented’ amount of work to complete.
Fans have had to be patient as Everton have waited for the new PSR window to open, but now it is time to get down to business in the market.
There may well be a lot of signings to pull off, but Everton have just been handed a big boost with one of their reported targets.

Gustavo Hamer approved Premier League move with Everton keen
Everton are showing interest in the ‘unbelievable’ Gustavo Hamer this summer after the midfielder missed out on promotion with Sheffield United.
As a result of the Blades’ loss to Sunderland, Hamer’s future has been thrown into the air after another impressive campaign at Bramall Lane.
According to Dutch outlet SoccerNews, Hamer is holding out for a move to the Premier League.
There is also interest arriving in the Dutchman from PSV Eindhoven, but the 28-year-old is prioritising a move to another English side.
It has even been suggested Everton could sign Hamer for as little as £6m, depending on the bonuses involved.
Leeds United also have an eye on Hamer following their own promotion to the English top flight.
The Toffees have already missed out on a number of players to other Premier League sides, but this is a battle they may feel they are capable of winning.
Hamer approval spells bad news for Harrison Armstrong
Interestingly, Hamer played a lot of the 2024/25 campaign on the left side of the midfield.
However, the Dutchman has played the majority of his career in the central and defensive midfield positions.
| Position | Appearances |
| Central midfield | 130 |
| Defensive midfield | 130 |
| Left midfield | 36 |
Signing Hamer could potentially spell bad news for Harrison Armstrong, who is hoping to make an impression this summer.
Moyes is willing to hand Armstrong an opportunity, but he could also spend this season out on loan again.
There is a lot of interest growing in a loan move for Armstrong, with numerous Championship sides keen to land the youngster.
It would not mark the end of his Everton career, but it may just knock his impact on the first team back by another year.
