Everton fans are preparing themselves for what they hope will be a busy few days for the club, with the transfer deadline approaching.
Everton’s situation has become healthier recently with back-to-back wins in the Premier League under David Moyes.
The Toffees are now six points clear of the relegation zone.
But Alan Shearer thinks Everton still need two signings to secure their survival, and many fans agree given the current injury problems.
One player who’s been strongly linked with Everton in recent days and weeks is Evan Ferguson.
And today, there has been a rather interesting development regarding the Republic of Ireland striker.
Brighton now prepared to sell Everton target Evan Ferguson as one club sees bid rejected

It’s been claimed by The Athletic that Brighton are actually now prepared to sell Evan Ferguson in this window.
Previously, the indications had been that the Seagulls were more likely to loan him out for the rest of the season to get game time.
But The Athletic say Brighton are now ‘open to the possibility of selling Ferguson at the right price if the circumstances suit both the club and the player’.
There is also word from talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, who claims on X that Brighton have indeed rejected a permanent bid from a club. He says that Brighton aren’t ‘actively’ looking to sell, but would consider doing so for a ‘high price’.
This development is bound to place a number of clubs on alert.
Everton have been battling a number of English clubs to sign Ferguson, including West Ham United. Arsenal have also been mentioned.
Ferguson was also reported to be of interest to Marseille, who are managed by his old manager at Brighton Roberto De Zerbi.
Latest Ferguson development isn’t good news for Everton
So Brighton are ready to sanction Ferguson’s exit for the right price – and it’s probably not good news for Everton.
While the club may now have new owners in The Friedkin Group, Everton are not going to be spending big in the coming days.
Moyes is thought to have a budget of around £40 million, and it’s already been suggested Ferguson would be worth around £45 million.
One unnamed club has already seen one permanent bid rejected, and it’s possible they could return with another.
And there will be other clubs out there in a better position than Everton to land Ferguson permanently.
