Everton will be able to put their feet up for over a week following their game against Brentford on Wednesday night.

David Moyes and his side will be welcoming a well deserved break from the action with no Premier League action this weekend.

After being knocked out of the FA Cup, Everton will be able to enjoy a weekend without any action.

Despite the break, Moyes is taking Everton on a warm-weather training camp in the United Arab Emirates.

The 61-year-old will be hoping as many of his players as possible are able to make the trip over to the Middle East.

And it seems one of his injury worries has returned to training just in time.

Nathan Patterson returns to Everton training

Defender Nathan Patterson has been sidelined through injury again after missing the Merseyside Derby just the other week.

It has been a season to forget for Patterson who will have been looking to make an impression on his fellow countryman, Moyes.

Speaking in Tuesday’s press conference from Finch Farm, Moyes has confirmed the ‘tremendous‘ right-back has now returned to training.

“Nathan Patterson has been back training but he’s only been back a day – but I think it’s going to be too quick for him,” said Moyes.

Jake O’Brien has locked down the right-back spot for Everton since the appointment of Moyes back in January.

This does not spell good news for Patterson who will want to prove his worth ahead of the summer transfer window.

Jesper Lindstrom fully recovered from illness

During the game against Manchester United, Jesper Lindstrom was withdrawn due to illness in the second half of the match.

The Dane is still awaiting his first goal contribution for Everton after signing on loan from Napoli last summer.

Moyes has been impressed with Lindstrom, and the 61-year-old is going to have the winger back available for the game against Brentford on Wednesday.

“He had a bit of fever or flu-like symptoms which I knew about. He was struggling with it a bit but has recovered,” Moyes added.

“There were a couple of boys. Tim [Iroegbunam] had it as well but, at the moment, they are all fine.”
