Everton will have to react quickly if they want to secure their transfer targets this January.
There is an expectation that Everton will make two signings in January as David Moyes will lay out his plans for the rest of the season.
Moyes and The Friedkin Group seem to be on the same page in terms of bringing in a couple of players and then look to properly invest in the summer.
It’s looking bright for the Toffees if they stay in the Premier League, with The Friedkins hoping for big changes at Everton.
However, Brighton are looking to snatch away Everton’s pursuit of this Ligue 1 player, as changes might need to be made now.

Brighton submit offer for Everton transfer target Habib Diarra
In a window that looks like it’s going down to the wire, Everton must act quickly to try and bring a few new faces into the club this winter.
One new face the Toffees have shown an interest in is Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra, who’s been a transfer subject for Everton since the start of the window.
The Friedkin’s want to sign Diarra for Everton but if they are that desperate, the owners may have to turn their actions into fruition, as according to L’Equipe Premier League rivals Brighton have submitted a £19m bid for Diarra.
Clubs including AC Milan and Nottingham Forest are interested in Diarra and now Brighton are one of those teams, and they have come into contact with Todd Boehly’s group BlueCo in order to strike a deal.
Despite the bid, it is believed Strasbourg are holding out for a more considerable offer for a player that they consider important, giving Everton a chance still.

Everton target Diarra could emulate N’golo Kante
Everton are lacking young legs in the middle of the park, as Moyes will no doubt want energy in his side.
The 21-year-old Frenchman has that in abundance, as he shares a similar pathway to former Chelsea and Leicester City midfielder N’golo Kante.
Kante began through French side Caen who are a similar size to Strasbourg, and adding onto this Diarra has an engine that shows similarities to the Premier League and Champions League winner.
Everton fans will no doubt be screaming for the owners to pursue an interest in Diarra who could be the perfect asset for any team in his box-to-box midfielder role.
Brighton are normally good at picking up unknown talented prospects, and they could snatch Diarra off Everton’s hands now.
