Carlo Ancelotti development could put a major spanner in the works for Everton’s summer plans

Everton have gone from strength to strength following their managerial change back in January.

It did not take the Friedkins long to bring in David Moyes as their replacement for Sean Dyche.

With games still remaining in the season, Everton have secured themselves Premier league survival under the 62-year-old manager.

Even Dyche admitted the Friedkins were right to sack him after he broke his silence on his departure from Merseyside.

One former manager who is not enjoying the best spell of his career is Carlo Ancelotti.

It had been suggested Ancelotti was set to become Brazil’s next manager with his time at Real Madrid expected to come to an end this summer.

However, a sudden U-turn may be on the cards and it could potentially hinder Everton’s transfer plans.

Former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti remains of interest to Saudi Arabia

Ancelotti pushed a move to Real Madrid during his time on Merseyside despite enjoying his time at the club.

But his time back at the Santiago Bernabeu is seemingly coming to an end and he is already looking for other opportunities.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Ancelotti is a name still very highly regarded by the Saudi Arabian Pro League and national side.

It is suggested if his move to Brazil is to collapse, a possible move to Saudi could be a real possibility for the 65-year-old.

Al-Ahli are one of the cubs who would be keen to bring him in as their next manager, but they’d like to do so before the FIFA Club World Cup.

Ironically, that would make his first game against Madrid.

Ancelotti has said he’s still an Everton fan and would remain one for life after experiencing the Merseyside Derby as the Toffees’ manager.

This potential move to Saudi, though, could put a spanner in the works for Everton this summer.

Ancelotti to Saudi could reignite Richarlison interest

Everton News understands Richarlison has previously rejected Saudi interest but the potential appointment of Ancelotti could change that.

Ancelotti is a big fan of Richarlison having previously said he has the talent to become a Ballon d’Or winner during their time on Merseyside.

A huge summer awaits for the Brazil international who will be desperate to get into their World Cup squad.

Everton are keen to sign Richarlison and bring him back to the club for their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

If Ancelotti was to move to Saudi, perhaps the Italian could help them persuade Richarlison to follow in his footsteps.
