Everton will be looking to add players who already hold some Premier League experience to their name in the summer window.

David Moyes could be set to wave goodbye to a number of his players over the coming weeks as their deals on Merseyside come to an end.

It has been suggested Everton will no speak to the agents of players they want to keep this week as they look to hand out some new contracts.

However, there will be some players who inevitably are going to need replacing.

Although the Friedkins are ready to back Moyes in the market, the Toffees will still be looking to land some shrewd pieces of business.

And there is one player from Arsenal who Everton are looking to potentially add to their options for the 2025/26 campaign.

Everton eyeing move for Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares

It has been a long season for Vitaliy Mykolenko at left-back with no senior options to provide him with some relief.

Moyes wants Everton to sign a new left-back to provide the Ukraine international with some competition.

According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton are one of the sides showing an interest in Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares.

The left-back has spent the last three seasons out on loan in Serie A with Lazio, which has caught the attention of clubs from England and elsewhere in Italy.

It is claimed, alongside Everton, Juventus and Fulham would be keen to land the 25-year-old on a free transfer this summer.

Everton are ready to address four key positions this summer and a new full-back will certainly be one of them.

But they are going to face some fierce competition if they want to land Tavares’ signature over the coming months.

Tavares has Premier League experience

Having played for Arsenal and spent a season out on loan with Nottingham Forest, Tavares would land on Merseyside with Premier League experience.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a strong season in Serie A with Lazio where he has established himself as their starting left-back.

Speaking on Match of the Day last season, Shay Given waxed lyrical about the partnership Tavares formed with Callum Hudson-Odoi at the City Ground.

“They were super fast on the left side. Tavares is a really offensive full-back and he’s got this partnership going with Hudson-Odoi, who looks like he’s really enjoying his football at the moment,” he said.

“He’s back to where Chelsea fans think he should be. They were super positive, on the front foot and getting their shots off.”
