Everton even shocked their own manager with their victory against Fulham on Saturday.

David Moyes and his side had won just one of their previous 10 games going into the game at Craven Cottage.

And it looked like their poor recent record was set to continue after the Cottagers broke the deadlock in what was a shocking first half from Everton.

However, things quickly changed after the break and all three points were sealed.

Beto celebrated in style after scoring for Everton following the transfer speculation surrounding a potential move to Leeds United.

It was a positive showing from the Blues after what was a dismal start and there was one player who really impressed Moyes, in particular.

David Moyes wowed by Michael Keane in Everton win over Fulham

Everton were hit with the blow of Jake O’Brien picking up an injury coming into the game in the capital.

Michael Keane is set to leave the club in the summer as his contract comes to an end, but this did not stop him from putting in a fine display.

Having found Everton’s second goal of the game, Moyes waxed lyrical about Keane following full-time.

“Michael Keane was terrific today, he was a proper centre-half,” he said after the game.

“Keano scored a really good header, it was a really good goal.”

Keane was criticised following the Manchester City loss when he came on as James Tarkowski’s replacement.

But the centre-back certainly put that performance behind him in west London as he made his return to the starting XI.

Everton turned things around against Fulham

The first half was pretty poor from Everton and quite typical of what they have shown over the last month or so.

However, what fans saw in the second 45 minutes will have been incredibly pleasing.

Everton fans could be heard chanting Carlos Alcaraz’s name as the Argentine pulled the strings in the middle.

And Moyes admitted he was so impressed to see his side turn things around after what he thought was a really poor start from his side.

“It didn’t look [like it would go] that way after the first 20, 25 minutes,” he added.

“I thought we were terrible on the ball but we stuck at it. We are a resilient crew and the players did a good job in the end.”
