Everton look to be closing in on their second signing of the summer, but there is seemingly a lot of work to do to land one wing target.
Everton have reached an agreement to sign Kenny Tete, whose contract at Fulham is about to expire.
Fulham fans have expressed their dismay about Everton’s links to Tete, which surely suggests that David Moyes stands to land a solid player.

Right-back is one of four positions that Everton are prioritising at the moment.
A new winger is also on the agenda for the Toffees, and one player Everton have had eyes on recently is Genny Catamo of Sporting CP.
But Moyes has his work cut out to pull off a deal.
Cesc Fabregas looking to tempt Everton target Geny Catamo to Como

It has been reported by Record that interest in Catamo is growing.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a decent campaign in 2024/25, scoring seven goals and making five assists in 48 appearances, playing over 3000 minutes in total.
Catamo, who is protected by a £51 million release clause, has been linked with several clubs leading up to the summer.
As well as Everton, there have also been suggestions that Arsenal, Newcastle United, Wolves, Aston Villa and Fulham were all in the picture.
But now Record say another club have entered the picture – and that is Como 1907.
The Italian club, who are managed by Cesc Fabregas of course, are looking to build on the solid season they had in 2024/25 that saw them finish 10th.

Catamo deal will be tricky for Everton to pull off
The Mozambique ace is certainly a talent, and many Everton fans would love to see Catamo playing on the wing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next season.
However, the chances of a deal happening are slim. Even if Sporting are receptive to the idea of letting him go for less than his release clause.
The competition to sign Catamo is rife, and Como are certainly a club that players are looking at more closely these days.

They have identified and developed a string of talents in recent times, and the chance to work with Fabregas – who is already impressing the world of management – is bound to appeal.
And then there is the location of Como.
But Everton then have to beat a number of other clubs to the player, so all in all, Everton recruitment officials will have to lay on a thick charm offensive to lure him.
