Everton have had a weekend to forget with the Blues suffering a heavy defeat in their opening game of the new campaign.
Sean Dyche‘s side really did get beaten heavily on Saturday afternoon in the worst possible way to start the farewell to Goodison Park.
The Toffees now sit rock bottom of the table having shipped three goals against Brighton & Hove Albion but have the opportunity to put things right on the weekend.
Everton will be coming up against Tottenham Hotspur who do not get their season underway until Monday night.
However, the Blues are going to have to focus on their own issues with now just under two weeks until the transfer window shuts.
Despite it being just the first game of the season, there has been some big reactions to come from Everton’s defeat and there’s one that Chris Sutton just cannot believe.

What Chris Sutton has been left stunned by at Everton
Following the game, Dyche issued a very blunt response to the Everton fans who walked out of the stadium following Mason Holgate being substituted on.
Everton have done well in the transfer market but Dyche did not start their new £20m centre-back Jake O’Brien in favour of Michael Keane.
And this is something which has not gone down well with some Everton fans who have demanded Dyche to be sacked already.

Having heard the calls for Dyche to go, Sutton has responded on social media to share his absolute disbelief.
“Is it fair to sack Sean Dyche after one game??” he said.
“This is ridiculous and totally unfair imo but what do you think?”
Should Everton sack Sean Dyche already?
The comments made after the game were not smart by Dyche. Not all fans will have been offended by the comments made but Dyche must have known they wouldn’t have gone down well with some.
And considering his side had just been emphatically beaten at home, it was probably best for the Toffees manager to not have turned the focus onto the fans.
If Everton are going to play in this fashion for the rest of the season then they are going to need the fans behind them.
A big game is coming up on the weekend against Spurs and perhaps it is for the best that Everton are playing down in north London.
But now is not time time to discuss sacking the manager – albeit the decision not to play O’Brien was questionable.
