David Moyes and Everton will want to end the season on a high and win the bottom-half table battle.

It seems like there is a mini-league going on between teams that have ultimately underperformed this year, and at the moment, Everton are coming out on top.

It’s set to be an exciting summer for Evertonians, who are gearing up for an upward trajectory at their new stadium.

With names considered, such as Jack Grealish, who could sign for Everton, Moyes can continue his galvanization.

But first, the remaining Premier League fixtures need to be handled, and Chris Sutton has given a positive outlook for Everton’s trip to Chelsea this Saturday.

Chris Sutton makes shock prediciton for Chelsea vs Everton

With Chelsea aiming for a Champions League place, it seems like all the pressure is on the home side.

Moyes will know it won’t be an easy occasion, as the Toffees will be looking to respond after a disappointing collapse vs Man City.

With the ‘massive’ loss of James Tarkowski vs City, Moyes will have to rejig his defence, and this is where Sutton sees a weakness.

Speaking to BBC Sport, although this goes against Everton, the pundit claims Moyes has a ‘threat’ at his disposal.

Beto will be a threat running in behind when they try to break forward, and Abdoulaye Doucoure will try get up there too in support,” Sutton said.

“They might get some joy here because while Chelsea are still in the mix for the top five after their fightback to beat Fulham, things are clearly still not right with them.

“Even with Tarkowski missing, they could struggle to break Everton down.”

With these factors considered, Sutton backs Everton to get a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, a stadium where they haven’t won at since 1994.

Beto needs to step-up for Everton under Moyes

At one point, Beto challenged Erling Haaland’s goal record in 2025, but in the last month or two, his form has dipped.

This might have gone under the radar as his resurgence under Moyes has been brilliant since his dismal period under Sean Dyche.

But the Scotsman might start raising questions about his striker, and his last five games have exemplified that.

The 27-year-old is likely to start, with Armando Broja not being able to play against his parent club, as Moyes has preferred the Albanian in recent weeks.

Chelsea will be a tricky test, but Beto can prove to his manager that his form isn’t seeping back into the Dyche days.
