Everton face Ipswich Town on Saturday in what is the penultimate game to be played at Goodison Park.

Although the emotions will be starting to creep in for the Everton fans this is a big opportunity to get three points on the board.

David Moyes has now seen through the torrid run of fixtures in April which did provide mixed results.

Back-to-back defeats is how the Toffees are heading into the game on Saturday as they will be targeting a strong end to the season.

Moyes was furious with some Everton players in their latest defeat against Chelsea last weekend.

There have been some underwhelming displays of late as Everton’s season begins to peter out having already secured safety.

But pundit Chris Sutton can only see their game on Saturday going one way.

Chris Sutton shares Everton vs Ipswich Town prediction

Although Everton have struggled in recent weeks, the pundit has spoken very highly of the Toffees.

Sutton has praised Beto despite his recent slump and even suggested he could be worth £60m if he played for one of the Premier League’s top sides.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Sutton has shared his prediction for the game which he will be attending this weekend in L4.

“Everything points towards a home win, despite Everton losing their previous two games.
Ipswich are definitely down now and, while they won’t throw in the towel, they might be a little less spirited now they know they are relegated,” he said.

They were flimsy against Arsenal, then well beaten by Newcastle, and it would be a shock if they scored at all, let alone break my record for the fastest goal scored by an away player at Goodison.

“Everton have stuttered in the past couple of weeks but I don’t think that is a bad thing for David Moyes.

“He has over-achieved since taking charge in January, when the reality is that he has got the same group of players as his predecessor, Sean Dyche, and there needs to be a lot of work done on improving that squad in the summer.”

Everton could even have Dominic Calvert-Lewin available following a good few months out through injury for the striker.

With just two games remaining at their historic home, Everton will be expected to leave Goodison Park on a high.

Everton need a strong finish at Goodison Park

What Moyes has achieved at Everton should not go under the radar as the club were in a bad place when he took over.

Sean Dyche was unable to get any sort of tune out of these players, yet Moyes has done exactly that.

The Friedkins are ready to finance Moyes’ transfer wishes after being forced to settle for a quiet January window.

But fans will be wanting to see a strong end to their time at Goodison Park.

Moyes has proven a lot of doubters wrong during his time back on Merseyside, but he will not want to see his side end the season on a whimper.
