Everton now have just one final game to play at Goodison Park before their historic move to the docks.

Saturday’s outing was not what fans would have wished for after Everton threw away another two-goal lead against Ipswich Town.

After a stunning start under David Moyes, securing Premier League survival has since seen their results dip slightly.

Granted, April was always going to be a difficult month with that run of fixtures.

Some Everton fans are furious at the club’s plans to charge £90 to buy their seats from the final game at Goodison Park in a couple of weeks’ time.

It is going to be a momentous occasion with the club finally waving goodbye to the Old Lady against Southampton.

And the club may have just provided some exciting plans ahead of the game against the Saints.

Everton share exciting plans ahead of Goodison Park Finale

It has already been suggested Everton have a lot planned for Goodison Park’s Finale with the club looking to go out with a bang.

The club are naturally trying to cash in where they can on the historic event with plenty of memorabilia being released to mark the occasion.

In Saturday’s match programme, the club shared an advert for a new club shirt which is set to be released ahead of the game against Southampton.

An image of the colour Pantone ‘Cambridge blue’ was captioned: ‘And if you know your history.’

This is the colour the Toffees wore in their first-ever game at Goodison Park which could suggest a special edition kit is being released to mark the finale.

It also read ‘09.05.25, 1892 Heritage Edition Fan Top’ which may well mean that it is just a commemorative release which may not be worn in the game against the Saints.

However, it could well be a nod to some of the exciting plans which Everton have in store to wave goodbye to their historic ground.

Moyes sympathised with the Everton fans after the draw against Ipswich Town on the weekend.

Everton simply cannot put out a display like that in the final outing at Goodison Park as it will not be well accepted by the fans.

Everton must leave Goodison Park in style

The recent form has not been great at all.

Moyes has proven a lot of critics wrong at Everton in being able to turn around the struggles Sean Dyche experienced.

Although Premier League survival has been secured, it cannot be overlooked that Everton have only won one of their last 10 games.

Having said that, it should be mentioned that Everton have only lost three of those games which does show some of the progress that has been made.

However, fans will be wanting to leave Goodison with three final points against the relegated Southampton.

Peter Reid thinks Everton have huge plans for Goodison Park’s Finale, but not beating the Saints could put a slight dampener on the occasion.
