Everton returned to Goodison Park with a draw on Saturday against Ipswich Town.
A strong start to the game for Everton was put under pressure before half-time following a stunning strike from Julio Enciso.
Beto was able to get back on the scoresheet for the first time since February after he put away Carlos Alcaraz’s pinpoint cross.
Owen Hargreaves was seriously impressed by Beto and Alcaraz for their involvement in the opening goal.
But the striker was brought off after 77 minutes for the return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Over the last couple of days, Calvert-Lewin has spoken publicly about his Everton future as he has now insisted he would love to stay.
And something the 28-year-old striker was spotted doing on the substitutes bench spoke absolute volumes.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin reacts to Beto moment vs Ipswich
Moyes would be open to handing Calvert-Lewin a new deal on Merseyside to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.
The 28-year-old made his return to the side following his injury picked up back in January against Brighton & Hove Albion.
And how he reacted to an audacious overhead kick by Beto spoke absolute volumes.
After trying to score with an acrobatic effort from outside of the box, Calvert-Lewin was spotted by the broadcast cameras laughing uncontrollably.
Although some may read it as him laughing as Beto, it is more likely a sign of his positivity in being back amongst it on the Everton bench.
Despite his ongoing contract saga, Calvert-Lewin is clearly still in very good spirits.
It has been suggested Calvert-Lewin’s agent has requested fresh contract talks with Moyes ahead of the final weeks of the season.
He now has a few games to show what he is capable of and potentially earn himself a future at Bramley-Moore Dock.
How Dominic Calvert-Lewin performed on his Everton return
Calvert-Lewin only returned from injury this week and he was thrown on for the final 10 minutes or so of the game.
Moyes admitted on Friday that minutes may be a stretch for Calvert-Lewin in these final games, but that was clearly not the case.
Despite impressing for most of the game, Beto was withdrawn shortly before Everton conceded their second of the game.
It was always going to be difficult for Calvert-Lewin to make much of an impression with such little time remaining in the game.
- 13 minutes played
- 1 shot off target
- 4/5 accurate passes
- 1/2 ground duels won
- 1/2 aerial duels won
- 1x was fouled
But Everton fans will be encouraged to see him return to the pitch nevertheless.
