Everton wonderkid Harrison Armstrong enjoyed a sensational loan spell at Derby County this season.

Derby fans were blown away by Harrison Armstrong, as he became one of the best players following his move in January.

Everton players are convinced he has a big future in the game, with Asmir Begovic labelling him a ‘special’ talent.

Harrison Armstrong returned to Finch Farm this week and has been training with the first team, as they wrap up the Premier League season.

David Moyes thinks Armstrong looks a ‘different player’ and the Scotsman has now made his decision on the youngster’s future ahead of the summer transfer window.

Armstrong has suggested that he’d like another loan move to Derby next season.

“I’d definitely be interested to come back here, it’s a great club, great fanbase,” the 18-year-old said. The staff and players are great.

“I think there’s talks to be had.”

However, Moyes has other plans for Armstrong after being so impressed by him in training over the last week.

According to Alan Nixon, the Everton boss wants to keep him around for pre-season to have a further look at him.

Nixon notes that Derby and Blackburn Rovers want to sign him.

Armstrong excited about playing for Everton

Speaking to Everton’s media team this week, Armstrong made it clear that he wants to be a part of Moyes’ first-team plans and is excited to play for Everton at the new stadium.

“All the lads are wanting to be a part of it and part of the upcoming games,” the England youth international said.

“You want to be a part of as many games as possible. I think [playing there] is something that I look forward to and the whole club looks forward to.

“[The team] has been doing really well and it’s nice to see the Club going in an upward trajectory. I think it’s something a young player wants to be part of. You see the Club moving forward with the new stadium and new players coming in. And yes, you want to be a part of it.”

If Armstrong impresses in pre-season, he could save Moyes and the Friedkin Group tens of millions on a new midfielder.
