Everton have been left with a real selection headache due to injuries.

The frustrations are also overlapping into the winter transfer market as Kevin Thelwell still remains without his first signing.

A number of Everton first-team players are out through injury with Orel Mangala sidelined for the season with knee ligament damage.

David Moyes will be keen to see new faces land on Merseyside before the deadline next week.

Since making his return to the club, the 60-year-old has seen some important players go down through injury.

The first of which was Armando Broja who went down just after Sean Dyche was sacked.

Chelsea make decision on Armando Broja’s Everton loan

Although Moyes had not been officially appointed, the Scotsman will certainly have been watching the FA Cup clash against Peterborough United.

Chelsea and Everton have entered talks over Broja’s loan with the striker set to miss the remainder of the season.

And Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has now suggested the Albania international will be remaining at Goodison Park.

‘David Moyes will be relieved, Armando Broja will not be going anywhere as Chelsea are now expected to honour the duration of his loan deal until the end of the season,’ he said.

Everton are keen to swap Broja for another Chelsea player with the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall appealing to the Toffees.

But it looks as if Moyes is set to be stuck with an injured Broja who is using up a vital loan spot in their quota for the season.

Everton need to find a way out of Broja’s loan

It has been claimed Chelsea would demand Broja’s full loan fee to terminate the deal with Everton this month.

Everton have shown improved form of late which has been able to drag them away from the relegation zone.

However, if the injuries continue to pile up then they may well be pulled back into the mix.

Either way, Everton are going to be paying for Broja to sit on the sidelines, so taking the hit and paying Chelsea may well prove a smart move.

Everton have an interest in Carney Chukwuemeka who could prove a shrewd piece of business if they could find a way to swap Broja’s loan for by the end of the month.
