Everton’s squad has taken a real beating recently, but that has created some opportunities for some of David Moyes’ lesser-used players.
Unfortunately, not all of the Everton players have taken their opportunity handed out to them over the last month or so.
Tyler Dibling has not overly impressed Everton fans in what has been a hugely underwhelming start to life on Merseyside for the 19-year-old.
There are some examples of players making the most of Moyes’ faith, which can be seen through Tim Iroegbunam’s run in the starting XI.
There have even been some opportunities handed to some of Everton’s young prospects, with the squad really stretched to the bare bones.
Harrison Armstrong has impressed Moyes, but there is another youngster who is hoping the 62-year-old manager hands him more chances in the future.

Everton prospect eyeing another David Moyes opportunity
Everton U21s manager Paul Tait recently praised Malik Olayiwola following his display against PSV Eindhoven.
Having just turned 17, the youngster has now put pen to paper on his first-ever professional contract.
Speaking to the Everton website, Olayiwola has now admitted he’s hoping for more opportunities in Everton’s first team over the coming months.
Forget your January hopes, what do you actually expect from Everton in the market? 🤔
Olayiwola was involved in Everton’s matchday squad for Saturday’s FA Cup defeat against
“That was surreal. Being around so many people you watch on TV, warming up and being in the same environment as them was crazy,” said the 17-year-old.
“I take a lot of confidence knowing I was called up to be with them, so I’ve gone into this week – with my own age group – to perform.”
“I want to keep developing as a player, but also try to get some minutes with the first team, as well as keep putting in good performances for the Under-21s.”
Armstrong has been the standout Everton academy product over recent months as he now sets the example in the starting XI.
For now, Olayiwola will be expected to bide his time in the academy for his next opportunity under Moyes.
The Friedkins could block academy pathway at Everton with new targets
Following their arrival in late 2024, it was suggested that the Friedkins wanted to improve Everton’s academy.
There has been a real lack of quality come from Finch Farm over recent years.
Who would Ethan Nwaneri start ahead of in a fully fit Everton XI? 🤔
Everton have been linked with Ethan Nwaneri over recent days and players of this quality could potentially block the pathways for others already in the acadrmy.
The 18-year-old Arsenal star could prove a really exciting addition for Everton if they were able to land the midfielder.
However, some may question what that says about the players currently being produced in the Everton system.
