The Friedkin Group will be thrilled after they decided on David Moyes to return to Everton instead of other candidates.

Everton fans have a lot to look forward to if they continue making decisions like appointing Moyes.

Graham Potter was close to joining Everton, but the Friedkins decided that Moyes was the perfect fit, and the timing of it all has been impeccable.

Credit has to be given to the new owners, as Moyes’ first five Premier League games in charge speaks for itself.

David Moyes’ brilliant Everton statement after superb start

In what has been a whirlwind few months with Sean Dyche going out and Moyes coming in, it seems as though the dust has settled.

Evertonians can enjoy watching their club for the first time in a long time, and it’s all down to the ‘Moyesiah’.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference for Everton’s meeting with Crystal Palace on Saturday, Moyes made a fantastic admission about the Toffees.

“By the way, over recent years, everyone has brought Everton back down to earth,” Moyes said.

“So why don’t we just try and keep Everton high for a while!

“Isn’t it good that there is positive talk about Everton for a change?”

The Friedkins picked the right man at Everton after Sean Dyche negativity

The feel-good factor has returned to Everton, and it’s all thanks to Moyes.

It’s been a severe change in contrast after Dyche was here, as the feeling around the club was toxic in the final few months of his tenure.

The former Everton boss played negative football and even got Everton players sneering at Dyche’s ways.

Dyche’s Everton certainly wasn’t a happy place to be, and Jake O’Brien has had a real uplift in form since he left which speaks volumes to his management.

Beto almost leaving under Dyche at Everton also adds to that fact.

Now it’s not all disrespect to Dyche who did sustain Everton in the Premier League for two seasons, but under Moyes, there is a clear attitude that the Toffees can finally put the past behind them and kick on.

It’s such a refreshing statement from Moyes, and Evertonians’ love for their manager has only increased.
