David Moyes told to consider Jack Grealish curveball ahead of Everton vs Crystal Palace

Everton will go into battle with Crystal Palace this weekend without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after his yellow card against West Ham United.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been left furious after receiving a one-game suspension just six games into the new season.

Summer signing Dewsbury-Hall has impressed in the early stages of his Everton career.

The midfielder has recorded one goal and one assist in six games, while linking up well with fellow summer addition Jack Grealish.

Dewsbury-Hall will now miss this weekend’s game with Crystal Palace after a ridiculous yellow card against West Ham United, his fifth of the season already.

Everton urged to make Jack Grealish switch ahead of Crystal Palace clash

David Moyes must now rethink his midfield set-up ahead of facing Palace.

Moyes has been urged to bring Carlos Alcaraz into the Everton midfield, though he has barely featured lately.

Former Everton defender Michael Ball has now offered his view, suggesting that Moyes should throw a real curveball.

Ball told the Liverpool Echo that he thinks Moyes should allow Palace to prepare for Jack Grealish to play on the left.

Instead, Ball thinks Iliman Ndiaye should feature on the left, meaning Grealish could potentially replace Dewsbury-Hall as the number 10.

Grealish has played as a number 10 in the past, and Ndiaye would certainly be more at home on the left than on the right.

That is something for Moyes to consider this weekend, with Ball hoping for ‘something different’ from Everton this weekend.

“I would just love to see any attempt to do something different,” said Ball.

“Moyes will have that chance after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s ridiculous booking, which means he is now suspended for Crystal Palace. Ndiaye struggled on the right on Monday, so why not look to move him to the middle or the left – let Palace prepare for Jack Grealish out wide all week then throw Ndiaye in there instead, for instance,” he added.

David Moyes could consider Tyler Dibling chance

Moyes has options against Palace, with Alcaraz and Dwight McNeil both at his disposal.

Alcaraz could slot in as a number 10, while McNeil could play on either flank and allow Grealish or Ndiaye to play centrally.

Alcaraz and McNeil have struggled for Premier League action, though, and Moyes may be reluctant to throw them in.

That means Tyler Dibling could be the man to come in on the right flank.

Everton snapped up Dibling from Southampton, but he has not yet started a Premier League game for the Toffees.

Dibling has only managed 13 minutes off the bench, but he has a huge future at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes is keen to bring Dibling along gradually, but this weekend may be the time to give him a chance from the start.
