Everton are one of the clubs looking to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap this summer.
Reinforcements are going to be needed over the coming months as Everton prepare for their historic move into Bramley-Moore Dock.
Big aspirations have been brought into the club by David Moyes and the Friedkins, with a much brighter future ahead of the Toffees.
Everton are keen to sign a new striker this summer following a season filled with attacking problems.
Despite a bright run of form from Beto, the Blues are back to struggling for goals after a baron run from the Portuguese striker.
Liam Delap is of interest to Everton, but they face some serious competition for his signature and David Ornstein has now shared his understanding on the striker’s future.

David Ornstein shares Liam Delap transfer update
Everton are competing with Manchester United for Delap, among many other Premier League clubs.
It is no surprise that most of the Premier League sides would be keen to sign the youngster following his impressive 2024/25 campaign.
Speaking on The Athletic’s Ask Ornstein, the reliable journalist has shared his full understanding on the situation.
“The general understanding is £40m buy-back clause for Man City and £30m release clause for any club in the event of Ipswich being relegated. I don’t think City are looking at re-signing Delap so if he leaves Portman Road I would expect the destination to be elsewhere,” said Ornstein.
“I reported in November that Chelsea and Man Utd were considering him at that remains the case.
“But there are plenty of other suitors and no decisions yet, so I wouldn’t expect an outcome for some time yet.”
To Everton’s disadvantage, it has been suggested Delap wants to play European football at his next club.
The Toffees will be unable to offer him that just yet, but Moyes could well sell him the Everton project as they ready their move into Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton must really push to sign Liam Delap
The reality is there are bigger clubs in the race to sign Delap this summer.
But Everton are in desperate need of a reliable striker for the future as they move into their new home.
The Friedkins want to make a statement signing at Everton this summer and Delap would certainly be that.
Delap has been in sensational form this season despite playing for a side who look set to be relegated back to the Championship.
With 12 Premier League goals to his name, Delap has massively outperformed all of Everton’s strikers.
Landing him would provide the fans with huge optimism for the new campaign, but it is not going to be an easy deal to navigate.
