Everton have been heavily linked with a move to sign Fulham winger Harry Wilson this winter.

David Moyes has added Harry Wilson to his transfer shortlist, and his recruitment team have reportedly been working on a deal for the Wales international over the last couple of weeks.

It’s understood that Wilson would be open to a move back up north, having come through the ranks at Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

How good of a signing would this be for Everton? 👀

Fulham boss Marco Silva recently admitted it won’t be easy to keep Wilson and now transfer specialist David Ornstein has just shared a fresh update on the 28-year-old’s situation.

Everton target Harry Wilson ‘most likely’ to leave Fulham in the summer

Speaking on The Athletic FC podcast, Ornstein has reported that he expects Wilson to wait until the summer to depart on a free transfer.

“Harry Wilson, I think, is most likely to depart as a free agent in the summer,” the journalist explained.

“There are clubs looking at him for January. They will have to decide whether it’s worth financing with only four months of football to go.

“He’s 28 years old. He was not in this sort of form. Historically, it’s amazing now, but they’ll have to consider the whole picture.”

So, with that said, it looks as though Everton will have to focus on other targets if they’re to sign a Jack Grealish replacement before the deadline.

Everton could turn to Wesley Gassova

Everton have been exploring other options away from Wilson, as a fresh rumour has emerged over the last 24 hours.

It’s been reported that the Toffees are in talks to sign Wesley Gassova from Al-Nassr, with a £20m transfer mooted.

The Brazilian plies his trade as a left-winger but can also operate on the right flank and even as a centre-forward.

Wesley, who turns 21 in March, plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, and has registered six goal involvements so far this season.
