Everton aren’t actively looking for a manager right now, but there have already been a few targets identified in the Friedkin Group’s lead up to taking over.
The manager rumours have returned at Everton after one loss in five games due to the manner of the performance in the defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Sean Dyche managed to take points off Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea which is a massive achievement, but in none of those games did Everton really look like scoring.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin led the line during that period but ended up being dropped against Forest after a change of heart from Dyche, but that didn’t work either.
All it did was cause more grief as Calvert-Lewin’s fiancé hit out on Instagram after his axe.
This time it’s a blow for the Friedkin Group, as one of their preferred Dyche replacements now appears to have ruled out a job at Goodison Park.

David Moyes doesn’t want to be involved in a relegation fight
David Moyes is believed to be the manager lined up to replace Dyche if his exit comes.
Everton have already seen one of their primary targets get snapped up, as Sergio Conceicao has been snapped up by AC Milan already.

David Moyes, who has been hailed as ‘outstanding’, recently spoke to the BBC about his future, and it doesn’t make for good reading if you hoped he could manage back at Everton one day soon.
“We are all getting a little bit older and I have to make sure I am doing the right thing for myself.
“If there is another part to it, so be it. But I would only want it to be a good part. I wouldn’t want to be coming in and doing something which is very difficult.
“I don’t want to be at the bottom of the league and fighting relegation which I have had a few times, so we will see how things go.”

Who else is out there for Everton?
Well, a previous Roma acquaintance Paulo Fonseca is back on the market alongside the likes of Graham Potter, Gareth Southgate and Massimiliano Allegri.
However, the issue for Everton will be finding someone good enough who wants to take over a club with the potential of relegation.
The summer is a whole different story if the Toffees stay afloat, as there will be plenty of financial backing and a new stadium to look forward to for any manager coming in.
