Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in the form of his life at Leeds United after leaving Everton in the summer.
Calvert-Lewin developed into a quality striker at Goodison Park, but injuries hampered him in the last few years.
So, after his contract expired at the end of last season, the Englishman decided to make a fresh start at Elland Road.
And, the move is already paying off, as the 28-year-old is arguably playing the best football of his career so far.
The only other time he was in such fantastic form was under Carlo Ancelotti at Everton between 2019 and 2021.
What position do Everton need to strengthen in most, right-back or striker?
Dominic Calvert-Lewin on comparison to form under Carlo Ancelotti
Calvert-Lewin scored the equalising goal in Leeds’ 1-1 draw away to Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
The striker has now netted seven times in his last six appearances, making him one of the most in-form players in the Premier League.
In his interview after Leeds’ latest game, he was asked whether his current form reminds him of the spell under Ancelotti.

However, Calvert-Lewin had no interest in entertaining the comparison to his best period with Everton.
“People love to hang onto that, don’t they. That was a long time ago,” he told Match of the Day.
“Yeah, sure, but I’ve been through a lot since then. Lots of ups, lots of downs, tests of character, and I’ve hung in there and kept going and kept pushing, backed myself, and here I am now.”
It seems that Calvert-Lewin has totally moved on from life on Merseyside, as he embraces his resurgence with Leeds.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin achieves Premier League feat Harry Kane never did
Calvert-Lewin’s goalscoring form is not only impressive by his standards, but for some of the best strikers in Premier League history.
The Leeds forward has scored in six consecutive league appearances, a longer run than England captain Harry Kane ever managed (five).
Indeed, he is the first Englishman to achieve the feat since Jamie Vardy scored in eight straight games for Leicester City in 2018.
Apart from Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Brentford’s Igor Thiago, it is hard to argue that any Premier League striker has had a better 2025/26 season.
