Duncan Ferguson’s time at Everton certainly provided the Scot with some key memories as both a player and a coach.
David Moyes has returned to Merseyside this year to steady the ship after some really difficult years for the club.
Brighter times are being promised with the Friedkins set to back Everton in the transfer market.
Everton finally look like a side on the mend after years of struggles under the tenure of Farhad Moshiri.
One man who certainly experienced some of the recent struggles was Ferguson having stepped in as a coach during managerial changes.
But his time at Goodison Park as a coach did also allow him to form an unlikely friendship with the great Carlo Ancelotti.
Having learned a lot from the Italian manager, Ferguson has not refused to rule out a potential reunion with the 65-year-old.

Duncan Ferguson open to joining Carlo Ancelotti with Brazil
The former Everton boss now looks set to leave Real Madrid as Carlo Ancelotti is set to become the new Brazil manager.
It is certainly a surprise job considering the work he has done in the Spanish capital over the years.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Ferguson refused to rule out the possibility of reuniting with Ancelotti when he takes on the Brazil job.
“Well I’m out of a job, so I’m looking for work,” Ferguson replied.
“I want to have another go. I think I have a lot to offer. I’m still young enough, I’m still healthy enough and I want to really chase the dream. That’s my dream.”
Ancelotti remains a big fan of Everton after his time on Merseyside managing the Toffees.
Although an unlikely friendship, the bond between Ferguson and Ancelotti was certainly one that benefitted the pair.
However, there could well be some communication issues with the players if Ferguson was to join up with the Brazil national side.
Ferguson absolutely loved working under Ancelotti
The relationship between the pair is still going strong as Ancelotti has written the foreword in Big Dunc’s recently released autobiography.
Alex Iwobi was wowed by Ancelotti’s aura around Everton and his ability to silence a room with his presence.
A manager of that stature certainly will have provided Ferguson with plenty of knowledge to take into his own managerial career.
However, Ferguson also offered Ancelotti a lot of knowledge on the Toffees during his time at Finch Farm.
“I think he knew I had good advice for him regarding the players and the club,” Ferguson added.
“If he asked me for some advice, I gave him it straight. And it was good advice; obviously, he knew I wasn’t about myself. He allowed me to take the sessions and he was a wonderful man.”
