Everton have been linked with a host of different names this month but are yet to finalise any arrivals.

David Moyes will have been delighted by the performance of his Everton players on the weekend.

The Toffees were able to put on a real show against Tottenham Hotspur, but there were some issues that cropped up late on in the game.

Everton have been keen to sign a new forward this month with their struggles in front of goal evident this season.

However, there will have been some concerns about Everton’s defence late on in the game on Sunday with Spurs handed a route back into the game.

This has seen Moyes suggest signing a new full-back for Everton before the window shuts in just over a week.

Everton do not hold interest in AC Milan’s Emerson Royal

On Tuesday evening, it had been suggested Everton were showing an interest in the AC Milan right-back Emerson Royal.

However, journalist Rudy Galetti has since cleared up the rumours.

Taking to social media, the Italian journalist shut down any suggestion of Everton showing an interest in the former Tottenham Hotspur defender.

‘Everton are NOT interested in Emerson Royal despite recent rumors,’ he said.

‘The Brazilian player was on their radar before his move to Tottenham but the Toffees have since stopped following him. Overall, EFC are not looking for a new RB in this transfer window.’

Everton fans praised Jake O’Brien for his display against Spurs after he started his first league game for Everton at right-back.

And it seems the plethora of options in that position, as well as O’Brien, has the Toffees insistent on not requiring any further additions before the end of the window.

Everton may have been put off by Emerson’s Tottenham stint

Emerson has only recently joined AC Milan in the summer for £13m and his future is being discussed just months on.

After some time in the Premier League with Spurs, it seems as if Everton’s previous interest has faded with Kevin Thelwell at the helm.

If Everton were after an attacking right-back, then Emerson is certainly not that player with his goal contributions leaving a lot to be desired from his time at Spurs.

As well as O’Brien, Nathan Patterson has impressed recently at Everton after he was handed the opportunity in the FA Cup.

With options available, this does not look like a deal which has potential.
