Everton have just agreed their first signing of the winter market.
David Moyes has been made to wait, but the Toffees have just added a new midfielder to their squad on Friday afternoon.
The 60-year-old did not give much away in his Everton press conference earlier in the day but the Blues have finally gotten someone through the doors.
With Orel Mangala out for the season through injury, Everton required a new addition and that is exactly what they have got.
It has taken the Toffees a while to get up and running, but there is now a deal already agreed on an initial loan to bolster Moyes’ midfield.

Everton agree Carlos Alcaraz deal
Moyes said on Friday Everton weren’t close to making a signing, but it appears the 60-year-old was keeping his cards very close to his chest.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have agreed to sign Carlos Alcaraz on loan with a buy option included.
The deal was all signed earlier on Friday with the midfielder heading back to the Premier League.
The clause to buy the midfielder will become mandatory if certain targets are met before the end of the campaign.
The Friedkins wanted to sign a midfielder for Everton and Moyes is now set to get one who has Premier League experience from his time with Southampton.
Everton still need more signings
This has to mark the start of Everton’s transfer business and not the end.
Everton still need to bring in another striker following the hamstring injury suffered by Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the weekend.
A midfielder was a priority given Mangala’s absence for the remainder of the season, though.
Everton’s interest in Sean Longstaff will not likely fizzle out, but it will be interesting to see if a deal could be done with Chelsea over a loan swap.
