Everton are causing some concerns across Europe as they prepare for an exciting summer transfer window.
It is set to be an interesting one for the Toffees with David Moyes now turning his focus on to the upcoming market.
The 62-year-old will be keen to bring in some players of his own choosing after a quiet January window.
Everton will be backed by the Friedkins when the market does open, but they will wait until the new PSR window opens before doing their business.
Having struggled in front of goal over recent weeks, Everton’s demand for a new striker has only been highlighted.
And there is one European side who feel threatened that Everton could pull off a significant move for their star man.

Everton eyeing mega-money move for Vangelis Pavlidis
A new striker is desperately needed on Merseyside and Everton have an interest in Benfica’s Vangelis Pavlidis.
The club are keen to add more firepower to Moyes’ squad for the new season and provide him with a side worthy of playing in their new home.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, there is a growing concern around Benfica that a club could trigger Pavlidis’ release clause.
It is claimed the Greek striker has a staggering €100m (£85m) release clause in his current contract.
As well as Everton, the following Premier League sides are also believed to be interested:
- West Ham United
- Newcastle United
- Nottingham Forest
Everton are prioritising a striker signing this summer, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin potentially heading off at the end of the season.
However, a move for Pavlidis is certainly one which would be a real blockbuster move by the Friedkins if they were to consider the 26-year-old.
Pavlidis can’t stop scoring for Benfica
Alongside the concerns regarding Calvert-Lewin’s future, Everton have also seen Beto’s form massively drop off over recent weeks.
Calvet-Lewin could return this weekend from injury, but the striker has again shown his lack of reliability throughout the course of the season.
The same cannot be said for Pavlidis who is going from strength to strength in the Portuguese top flight.
| Pavlidis’ last five games | Total |
| Goals | 8 |
| Assists | 2 |
Even across the Champions League, the 25-year-old has shown some incredible goalscoring form.
There will be some natural concerns from some of those in England who have seen the likes of Darwin Nunez previously make big-money moves to the Premier League and struggle.
