Everton face their penultimate game at Goodison Park on the weekend against Ipswich Town.
David Moyes’ side have now faced consecutive defeats in the Premier League following the loss against Chelsea on the weekend.
It was not a game where Everton provided the hosts with too many issues with their attacking threat leaving a lot to be desired.
Chris Sutton expected Beto to cause Chelsea issues, but that couldn’t have been further from reality.
The Portuguese striker endured a difficult afternoon at Stamford Bridge and played a big role in the only goal of the game.
Moyes has been boosted by Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil’s return from injury, but neither were able to make an impact.
There is some positive news ahead of the game against Ipswich on the weekend with another attacking player now set to make his return.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury update from Everton
Everton’s attack has been hindered all season with injury issues.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been injured since January which has proven an issue of late with Beto’s form dropping off completely.
However, there is some positive news as the Daily Mail report Calvert-Lewin could be set to make his return this weekend.
The ‘unplayable‘ 28-year-old is expected to step up his training at Finch Farm during the week ahead of the game at Goodison as he is said to be looking to impress Moyes.
Everton want to keep Calvert-Lewin and hand him a new deal ahead of the summer, but the striker has not made any indication of where his future lies.
This summer will provide Everton an opportunity to make some major changes to their squad.
However, a strong end to the season for Calvert-Lewin could really cement Everton’s wish to keep him around for the stadium move.
Everton are prioritising a new striker signing this summer but there is still the possibility Calvert-Lewin could remain on Merseyside for next season.
What David Moyes said about Beto after Everton defeat
After the game on the weekend, it was apparent Moyes was not left impressed by Beto’s display.
The striker gave the ball away extremely cheaply during the first half which began Chelsea’s move for the only goal of the game.
Jordan Pickford was slammed by Tim Sherwood who felt the England number one should have done better.
But it was apparent who Moyes felt was to blame in his post-match press conference.
“Beto should retain possession of the ball,” he said.
“We’re trying to improve things and we’re trying to play better. We’re trying to find out a lot about what the players can and can’t do.”
