Everton’s search for a new striker in the January transfer window will play a big role in how the remainder of the season pans out.
There can be no denying that David Moyes wants to see some improvement at the top end of the pitch for the Blues.
As far as Everton’s current two strikers are concerned, there has not been enough end product on the pitch to warrant either of them nailing down the starting spot.
Moyes has publicly demanded more from Thierno Barry, who has scored in his last two games on the back of the criticism.
However, more consistency is needed and that may well come through the addition of a striker in the January window.
Two of Everton’s striker targets were in action on Tuesday, in the same game, and they both were able to find the back of the net.

Everton striker targets find back of the net amid speculation
It has been suggested that Everton are keen on Evan Ferguson and Artem Dovbyk of AS Roma in this January window.
The two strikers are both claimed to be ‘destined’ for a move in January as Roma also look for a new striker of their own.
On Tuesday, both Ferguson and Dovbyk were in action for The Friedkin Group’s other club against Lecce in Serie A.

Have we missed anyone out? 🤔
Ironically, just hours after reports claimed they were both in line for an exit, the two strikers both found the back of the net.
Whether that will have any impact on either of their futures remains to be seen, though.
Everton have held a long-term interest in Ferguson, who is currently on loan at Roma from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
Neither of the strikers has particularly enjoyed the 2025/26 campaign in Serie A, but they have both hit form at the right time for any interested clubs.
Everton need Premier League experience in January
Having signed Barry over the summer, it has become clear to Everton just how important Premier League experience is.
The Frenchman is struggling to find consistency over the season and Moyes has hinted experience in English football is something he’s looking for.

Fans will be hoping to see additions made, with Moyes admitting Everton may not even sign any players before the window shuts.
