Everton have made some solid progress towards securing themselves Premier League survival ahead of next season.
The Friedkin Group’s decision to change manager in January has proven nothing short of a masterclass.
Since returning to Merseyside, David Moyes has been able to turn around Everton’s fortunes in the Premier League with a comfortable cushion to the bottom three.
There will now already be one eye on the summer transfer window with a quiet January market only seeing one player come through the doors.
Carlos Alcaraz has impressed Moyes in his opening weeks at the club, but a lot of work will be needed over the summer.
And journalist David Ornstein has shared what he has been hearing about the Friedkins’ plans for the upcoming window.

David Ornstein expects positive summer window at Everton
Kevin Thelwell is expecting a busy summer at Everton, with considerable player turnover expected on Merseyside.
Whether Thelwell will even be at the club over the summer remains to be seen.
Speaking on NBC Sports, respected journalist Ornstein has shared what he is expecting to see on Merseyside over the coming months.
“There’s a huge squad overhaul that’s needed with just 12 players who will be under contract come the summer, so that’s going to be a job for The Friedkin Group, the chief executive and whether there’s a sporting director and recruitment operation to bring players in and deal with that,” said Ornstein.
“It’s going to be costly, it’s going to be hard, but finally, there is some light at the end of the tunnel for Everton. They’re doing a bit better on the pitch and off the pitch.”
Everton are hoping for some PSR leeway over the summer to finally spend some money on really improving their squad.
The Toffees are going to see some considerable figures potentially drop off their wage bill which can also be reinvested into new additions.
Everton are becoming an attractive club to sign for again
The work which is being done under Moyes cannot be underestimated, with the Toffees finally looking like a side on the up again.
Moyes has helped the likes of Beto flourish by providing him with an actual run in the starting XI again – albeit as a result of injuries.
But the players finally look happy once again playing for Everton and that is showing through their results.
Bramley-Moore Dock is expected to provide Everton a big financial boost which will ease any worries still lingering over PSR.
And the move to the new stadium will only help the club in attracting new players over the summer.
