The background team at Everton are set to put their words into action, as Thelwell anticipates a busy summer for the Toffees.

Speaking to Everton’s club media (10:47), Thelwell said: “I think when we get through the summer we’ve got a real opportunity to look up again.

“We want fans to be excited about the quality of player we’re bringing in and also the number of players we’re bringing in.

“The summer will be the start of that. It won’t be a revolution. It will be an evolution.”

Everton set for an exciting future under the Friedkin Group

After years of misery under Farhad Moshiri, things are really looking up for Everton.

Despite another difficult window in January, it seems as though a plan is in place for the Toffees to thrive.

Whether that means Thelwell stays or not is another question, but the expectation is Thelwell will be replaced at Everton.

This could be the sign of the Friedkins bringing in a new DoF to shine and push the Toffees forward.

Despite all of this, you have to give Thelwell credit for sticking in there, as it seems his sacrifice might have just handed Everton a very exciting future.
