Everton are now just days away from The Friedkin Group marking their first anniversary on Merseyside.

So much has changed in a relatively short space of time at Everton, with plenty of off-field and on-field decisions being made.

David Moyes being announced as the replacement for Sean Dyche was the first big decision made by The Friedkin Group at the start of 2025.

However, the club have been taken to another level through the stability the American owners have brought in just almost 365 days at the helm.

Of course, securing the club’s finances has been a major step forward and the Friedkins have been able to build on the foundations they’ve made on Merseyside.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has transformed Everton’s finances, but the Americans are keen to extract every possible penny from their £400m acquisition.

The Friedkin Group pushing Everton for new revenue streams

Everton are in talks to hold a Scotland friendly in March and they could be outmuscling Newcastle United – again – to the international friendly fixture.

Finally, Everton are able to compete against other Premier League sides when it comes to off-the-field matters creating revenue to balance the books.

Speaking to Toffee TV, Everton’s PR manager David Prentice has offered insight to what the Friedkins are now demanding from those inside the club.

How do you feel about Everton being part of a multi-club network?

“We’ve got new owners who are now looking at other revenue streams they can explore. One of them is putting out more publications,” said Prentice.

Prentice has led the production of an Everton magazine on the England number one, Jordan Pickford.

“The players that we could have chosen, Jordan Pickford is probably the most iconic that we could have chosen I think is the best way to describe him.”

Everton are no longer at risk of battling FFP regulations, with the new owners directing the club back on the straight and narrow.

Although Prentice’s initiative may prove fairly insignificant in comparison to some of the huge deals secured by the Friedkins, every little helps towards a brighter future for the club.

Everton fans can only see this as a huge positive and a real breath of fresh air from their American owners.

Dan Friedkin still awaiting first Everton appearance one year on

It may surprise a number of Everton fans not to have seen Dan Friedkin on Merseyside despite being 12 months on from the takeover.

At the weekend, Everton fans will display a stunning tifo in the south stand at the Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of the game against Arsenal.

Why do you think Dan Friedkin still has not shown his face at Everton? 🤨

That game against the Gunners will come just hours after the one-year anniversary will have been celebrated by the Friedkins.

The final game at the Hill Dickinson before the turn of the year; it feels like the perfect opportunity for Dan Friedkin to make an appearance.

However, the 60-year-old has made a habit of working in the shadows, but Evertonians would certainly like the opportunity to thank him for the work he and his team have done since last December.
