Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium is quickly becoming the envy of the north when it comes to securing some high-profile sporting events.

Since moving into the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the Toffees have been able to utilise their new facilities in hosting external fixtures and tournaments.

So far, Everton have secured a number of sporting tournaments/fixtures to be held at their state-of-the-art new home.

Even this week, it has been suggested that the Hill Dickinson Stadium could host a Scotland friendly in March ahead of their World Cup adventure.

Tickets are already being sold for next year’s Magic Weekend, which Everton secured over the likes of Newcastle United.

Thousands of Magic Weekend tickets have been sold, with record numbers now reaching the Rugby League as fans want to attend the new Everton stadium.

Everton see 400% increase after Hill Dickinson Stadium coup

There is no doubt that the Hill Dickinson Stadium has been a real game-changer for Everton’s finances.

For the first time in years, Everton are now financially stable and their future looks brighter than ever with future events set to prove extremely lucrative for the Friedkins.

According to Super League, the early ticket sale numbers for next year’s Magic Weekend are incredibly positive.

Ticket sales during the priority window mark the biggest in the event’s history and surpass this year’s, held at St. James’ Park, by a staggering 400%.

The first event to be held on Merseyside was the Ashes Series rugby game between England and Australia in October.

Rugby fans were amazed by the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with one reporter even suggesting it was better suited to the sport than Old Trafford.

Big improvements have been made on the pitch, and the future can only get brighter for Everton with numbers like this being posted.

The Friedkins are ready to announce Roma’s new stadium plans over the coming days on the back of the success they’ve seen on Merseyside.

It seems as if all the major sporting events want a slice of Everton’s new home.

And who can blame them? The Hill Dickinson Stadium is a sight to behold and something that Everton fans can be immensely proud of.

“Surpassing 25,000 tickets before general sale shows just how much fans have embraced Magic Weekend at its new venue,” said managing director Rhodri Jones.

“Hill Dickinson Stadium offers a fantastic stage for the sport, and we are excited to deliver an unforgettable two-day celebration of Rugby League in 2026.” 

Sunderland fans are excited to visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium next month, but it is even more rewarding to see fans of other sports clearly so keen to visit the new home of the Blues.
