With time running out in the January transfer window, David Moyes will want to meet his requirements for the Everton squad.
As the first transfer window of 2025 is coming to a close next week, Moyes will no doubt still want some additions at Everton.
The Friedkin Group want two signings at Everton as they look to build on their recent turn in form in the Premier League.

Everton are on the verge of signing Angelo Preciado as the midfielder can also play right-back.
With Moyes keen on signing a full-back this would be useful, but another target could still be in the running for that position.

Everton face competition from Turkey for Kyle Walker-Peters
With Moyes hoping for some more depth in the defensive area, a full-back is a smart move from the Scotsman.
With Preciado seemingly close, it may stop Everton’s pursuit of Kyle Walker-Peters, especially as Galatasaray are contenders for the Southampton right-back.
According to the Turkish outlet, Star.tr, Galatasaray have tabled an offer worth ‘£5m’ as they look to take advantage of his contract expiring at Southampton.
Walker-Peters will be out of contract in the summer, but the Turkish side have a desire to sign him during this window.
The Istanbul giants should expect to face competition, with reports Everton are in contact to sign him as Moyes wants to strengthen in the full-back area.
Everton target Walker-Peters labelled as a ‘beautiful footballer’
Despite Moyes’ hope for recruitment in this area, recent Jake O’Brien performances may convince the Everton boss otherwise.
After performances against Brighton and Tottenham, Moyes praised O’Brien at right-back as the 22-year-old has done a solid shift out of his normal position of centre-back.
However, this shouldn’t tell Moyes to give up on Walker-Peters who has a plethora of Premier League experience that could be crucial in Everton’s relegation battle.
Former Saints boss Russell Martin called the right-back a ‘beautiful footballer’ (BBC Sport) in 2023 after he scored against Bristol City, as Walker-Peters’ current interest clearly speaks volumes.
With just a week left of the window, this will be an interesting development to keep an eye on at Everton.
