Everton already have one eye on the summer transfer window.

The season is beginning to draw to a close and Everton chiefs are now drawing up a list of transfer targets.

The Toffees are showing a serious interest in Liam Delap, who’s netted 12 Premier League goals for Ipswich Town this season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is also emerging as a target for David Moyes, with Chelsea open to sanctioning a sale.

But, whilst those two names are exciting links, David Moyes has started to worry some supporters with one strange transfer decision he wants to make.

Everton fans worried after hearing David Moyes wants to re-sign Jack Harrison

It’s just come to light that Moyes wants to make Jack Harrison’s loan a permanent deal, with the Scotsman a big admirer of his attitude.

Everton fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the news and they’re beginning to have some doubts about Moyes.

“This is why Moyes shouldn’t be in charge of transfers. He’s a really poor player who doesn’t score or assist. Good attitude but s— at footy,” @Tom_Cagsey said.

@B_BMDFooty added: “Oh f— off, very slowly starting to get fed up of Moyes already ngl.”

“Worrysome from Moyes that if true,” @Day89 commented.

“If he signs Harrison over Alcaraz, I’m losing confidence,” @lori_the_toffee posted.

@don836787988830 explained: “This is exactly why I didn’t want Moyes. Prefers work rate over flair. Takes off Ndiaye every game yet “workers” get the full 90. Gonna be a long summer.”

“Nothing wrong with being critical of Moyes, he’s a football manager, not some Medieval King who must be obeyed at all times. The possibility of keeping DCL, a non-scoring striker, and Harrison, one of the worst wingers in the league, are very concerning,” @TomFox87 said.

Moyes could lock horns with the Friedkin Group

Moyes has always been a manager who wants to recruit experienced and seasoned players, which is part of the reason he fell out with West Ham United’s sporting director.

It’s been reported that they often disagreed about transfer targets and history could now repeat itself on Merseyside.

The Friedkin Group want to drive down Everton’s average age by signing younger players this summer, as the current squad is the third oldest in the division, only behind Fulham and West Ham, funnily enough.

Given Moyes’ desire to sign Harrison, who turns 30 next year, it looks as though there could be some disagreements on recruitment brewing.
