Everton were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace in a must-win game.
Crystal Palace were there for the taking after expending a lot of energy on their Conference League semi-final on Thursday.
But, Everton failed to get the three points at Selhurst Park, which all but confirms that they will miss out on Europe.
No win in any of Everton’s last five games… what would you say to David Moyes? 🫣
After the game, Toffees fans were very critical of a few players, and interestingly, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall received most of it.

Everton fans reckon Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been poor for a while
Everton fans had a lot to say on TalkingPoints about Dewsbury-Hall, as they were really disappointed with his performance.
There were also a few Michael Keane and Thierno Barry critics.
Which Everton player frustrated you the most against Crystal Palace? 😬
- “KDH dreadful throughout the game. Should have been replaced so much earlier. Poor game management from Moyes again imo.”
- “Won’t get anywhere with Moyes bringing the most creative midfielder on with 2 mins to go. Dewsbury-Hall has been off it for a while.”
- “No surprise we haven’t really progressed as it’s basically the same team as we had last season and the one really good improvement KDH had a stinker today in front of goal.”
- “So don’t know if Garner and KDH were trying to impress Thomas, but it didn’t work. So many sitters missed by greedy players.”
- “Keane is a liability. Seems a nice chap and I feel bad for what he’s been through but he’s just not a top level player. Possibly Championship or bottom half team but not what we need to challenge for Europe.”
- “I wouldn’t play Barry again.”
As one fan alluded to, perhaps Dewsbury-Hall has been a little bit too eager to impress England manager Thomas Tuchel.
You could see how desperate he was to get on the scoresheet, and that seemed to affect his decision-making.
Carlos Alcaraz should’ve replaced Dewsbury-Hall way sooner, so it was really poor game management from Moyes.
Two games now remain for the Toffees, as they take on Sunderland at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur in the capital.
