Everton appear to still be catching the attention of former manager Carlo Ancelotti as he made an admission in his Liverpool vs Real Madrid press conference.
Carlo Ancelotti is back on Merseyside for a Champions League clash between Liverpool and Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The Italian boss didn’t spend his money very wisely whilst at Everton and even ended up jumping ship once he knew Real Madrid were sniffing around.
This didn’t sit well with some sections of supporters, but times have changed and he’s gone on to be one of the most decorated managers in world football right now.
However, in Ancelotti’s mind nothing has changed as he’s come out and admitted a couple of things in his press conference ahead of the Liverpool clash.

Carlo Ancelotti makes Everton admission
Carlo Ancelotti already had one eye on the new stadium whilst he was in charge of Everton, despite it being merely an idea at that point.
He stated that the dream is silverware and being in the running for titles at the new stadium, as well as stating how he wished to be a part of it at that time.
Never say never about a return to Merseyside, but it remains to be seen as to whether the Friedkin Group could go down the route of someone accomplished like Ancelotti if he’s free in the summer.
Ancelotti clearly still has a lot of love for Everton as he had this to say in the press conference ahead of the Liverpool vs Real Madrid clash.
“Of course I follow Everton. I follow the club, I follow the results. Call me tomorrow after the game and I will talk to you about this.”
