Everton fans have had their fair shares of concerns about Sean Dyche in recent times, but it appears as if a football Hall of Famer is in support of one thing he does.

The Everton managerial situation is a topic that will no doubt be brought up a lot over the next few weeks, as the Toffees face a difficult run of fixtures.

To be fair to Sean Dyche, he’s done well to recover after the first four games, but fans have noticed their side slowly starting to tail off in recent weeks.

Just one goal has been scored in the last four games, though clean sheets have been present, with two on the bounce.

However, the performances themselves have been a cause for concern, as we just can’t seem to break sides down and look lost for ideas in the final third.

Interestingly, Sean Dyche is actually getting some praise for something that Everton fans have given him an earful for already this season.

Sir Alex Ferguson praises Sean Dyche for how he conducts himself in press conferences

Sean Dyche has been criticised of late for his handling of press conferences by Everton fans.

The Englishman has often taken up a positive outlook regardless of results this season, especially against Southampton where Dyche was even contradicted by Jesper Lindstrom.

Interestingly, it appears as if Sir Alex Ferguson, has a different outlook on how Sean Dyche conducts himself in press conferences.

Sir Alex, who has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, used Dyche as a positive example of a manager who conducts things well in press conferences, in a letter he sent to Billy Doddy (as per BBC Scotland).

He said: “I received a letter last year from our greatest ever managers (Alex Ferguson) and it was about how you dominate a press conference, how you get your message across.

“He said Sean Dyche was really good at it. Getting your narrative out there.”

Sean Dyche’s press conference examples this season

Sean Dyche has various examples of debatable moments in press conferences this season.

One was his slight deflection in the Southampton loss, as Dyche suggested they should have had a player sent off despite having a player covering.

West Ham were atrocious against Everton and even could have lost if it wasn’t for a fine late save from Jordan Pickford, but Dyche came out and said about how good the point was after the game.

This mentality from Dyche infuriated Everton fans, as many called for his departure.
