Everton are one of a few Premier League sides who are chasing a new striker this summer.
David Moyes has endured his fair share of issues since returning to Merseyside and an unreliable front line has certainly been one of them.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has returned from injury at a good time after Beto’s impressive form has completely vanished.
The Everton striker had shown some real signs of promise in Moyes’ early weeks back at the club, but that has proven nothing more than a purple patch.
Everton are keen to sign a new striker this summer and it is one of the Friedkins’ priorities.
A lot of Premier League clubs are battling for the signature of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap ahead of the window opening.
And TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey has informed Everton News of the Toffees’ current stance on the striker.

Everton present themselves to Liam Delap
With a new striker on their mind, Delap is a player of real interest to Everton who will be up against it to land the youngster.
Half of the Premier League is looking to trigger his £30m release clause.
Bailey insists Everton have not made any major move for the 22-year-old just yet, but they are positioning themselves well.
“Everton have not joined the race for Liam Delap, they have been in contention for a while,” he told Everton News.
“With Delap, yes he has the Chelsea and Manchester United holding talks, whilst the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have touched base. But there are other options that have presented themselves to him and Everton are one of those.”
It has been suggested Delap is keen to play European football next season with the likes of Chelsea showing their interest.
“Delap has his pick of clubs, we know that – Ipswich are allowing him to choose his club. Everton like him and believe he is a very good fit for him and vice-versa they think they would be ideal next step for him,” Bailey added.
“Likewise, the likes of West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle also believe that. There is also strong interest in Germany – with the likes of RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen all showing an interest and a move abroad is not something that Delap has dismissed.”
Moyes has approved the signing of Jack Harrison, which would only stress the need for a prolific striker to be signed.

Everton could offer Delap regular minutes
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is now seeking fresh contract talks at Everton ahead of the summer.
But even if Calvert-Lewin stays, Everton are looking for a new striker as they need a reliable option to take the club forward.
This means the opportunity to lead Everton into Bramley-Moore Dock is there for Delap in a season which is going to require him to play regular football.
The youngster certainly has an opportunity to break into the England squad for the 2026 World Cup having ran Ollie Watkins close in goals despite playing for a much weaker side.
| 2024/25 Premier League | Ollie Watkins | Liam Delap |
| Goals | 15 | 12 |
| Assists | 7 | 2 |
But he will need to showcase his talent on a regular basis if that is to be the case.
“We are in a World Cup cycle now, Delap knows his next club needs to be right,” Bailey said.
“It is a tough choice, I believe that Chelsea have manoeuvred themselves firmly in position as favourites, but I would not discount anyone at this point.”
