Many Everton fans are keen to see Tyrique George return to the club this summer after his loan move in 2025/26.
The winger came to the Hill Dickinson Stadium midway through the last campaign, arriving from Chelsea as a replacement for the injured Jack Grealish.
The signing was praised, with George one of Chelsea’s most impressive youngsters.
What would you do if you were Angus Kinnear this summer? 🫣
But unfortunately, he did not play as much as everyone hoped, with David Moyes preferring to lean on more experienced options during the run-in.
And now we have a situation whereby Everton are mulling over triggering the option to buy clause, which is thought to be somewhere in the region of £25 million.
But there is one way Everton could actually sign George without going anywhere near that fee and in fact, be paid to sign him.
Everton can use Chelsea’s interest in Iliman Ndiaye to land Tyrique George
This week, Everton fans heard some interesting comments from Iliman Ndiaye.
The winger expressed a desire to play Champions League football, which came after reports he has rejected several new contract offers at the club.
Ndiaye has not actively pushed to leave Everton.

But there is a growing feeling that he has been laying the groundwork for a possible exit this summer. Of course, there is a fair bit of interest in him.
And Chelsea are said to be among the interested clubs, with Si Phillips again suggesting this week the Blues are keen.
So given that, maybe there is potential here for Everton to strike a deal with Chelsea.
Ultimately, they don’t want to lose Ndiaye. But if it reaches a point whereby they need to sell, with the player agitating, then perhaps steering him towards Chelsea would make more sense.
Ndiaye’s valuation is obviously much, much higher than the option to buy figure for George.
Maybe Everton can propose to sell Ndiaye to Chelsea and remove that buy option altogether.
How likely do you think it is that Everton could lose Iliman Ndiaye this summer? 😬
Surely a player of his quality will want to showcase himself on the top stage 🤩
The asking price for Ndiaye is thought to be around £70 million, so Everton could theoretically subtract the value of the George clause from that.
So that would be about £45 million and George to Everton, with Ndiaye going the other way.
Despite not playing an awful lot, George has previously expressed his happiness at Everton so potentially he would be willing to come back as a permanent player.
