Everton remain in the market for new players, with Youssef En-Nesyri having been mentioned as a possible target.

Fans are expectant ahead of the last two weeks of the transfer window, with Everton sitting in a promising position in the Premier League table.

The narrative has been that Everton are not going to throw a huge amount of cash around this month, but will act if there is a deal to be done. Loans are more likely for the club.

How big of a risk is this for Everton? 😫

And in recent days, Youssef En-Nesyri has had a lot of mentions with regards to Everton.

Last week it was claimed Everton made a loan proposal for En-Nesyri, who is being courted by several other clubs right now.

Potentially though, another stumbling block may have emerged for Everton.

It turns out that En-Nesyri is actually on a fair whack at Fenerbache.

Journalist Matteo Moretto has reported on the En-Nesyri situation and suggests that his high salary will need matching if the player is to move this month.

He said in video on the Fabrizio Romano in Italiano YouTube channel: “I want to highlight an important detail: the reason Fenerbahce is trying to free up space, also financially, by offloading En-Nesyri, is that he signed a contract until 2029, so a fairly long contract, and he earns around 8 million euros net per season – a really significant contract.

“The player will evaluate all the proposals on the table, including Juventus, and will definitely choose the project that convinces him the most technically, because En-Nesyri wants consistent playing time.

“But there’s also the financial aspect to consider, because he earns a lot at Fenerbahce, and anyone who wants him will need to reach an agreement on that.”

This contract, if accurate, equates to £135,000 per week – only Jordan Pickford and Jack Grealish reportedly earn more than that at Everton right now.

This is just the latest development to suggest Everton could really struggle to land the striker.

En-Nesyri also reportedly has reservations about the UK climate.

And it was also claimed in recent days that Juventus would actually be En-Nesyri’s priority if he was to move this month.

Everton may have better chance to land Wilson Isidor

The En-Nesyri links persist, but there haven’t been may positive updates about Everton’s pursuit in recent days.

But one player the club may have a better chance of signing this month is Wilson Isidor.

It’s been reported today that Everton have enquired over Isidor’s availability, and it could be that a bid goes in, with the striker being valued at around £25 million.

Of course, since he’s been playing in England since the summer of 2024, he likely won’t have any issues with the climate.

Having struggled for minutes at Sunderland recently, he might be receptive to a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
