Everton have today been linked with a move for Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri, with fans hoping to see some movement.
It has been a quiet start to the window for the Toffees, and there are three weeks remaining for the club to get any business done.
It was claimed that right-back and left-back were priority positions, with a new striker seemingly not quite as pressing.
How big of a risk is this for Everton? 😫
Scoring goals in Turkey is completely different to the Premier League…
But shortly after that, the Youssef En-Nesyri speculation started.
Everton were said to have made a loan offer for En-Nesyri this morning. But since then, a number of outlets and journalists have played it down.
And now, a potentially important claim has been made.
Youssef En-Nesyri has reservations about UK climate as Everton eye striker

Fans have been fairly split on social media about En-Nesyri.
Some feel he could perhaps be a little similar to the current options Beto and Thierno Barry.
But some also reckon he could be decent, given he scored 69 goals in La Liga previously.
But following all the noise this morning about a loan offer from Everton, it looks like the speculation could already be about to die down.
Turkish outlet A Spor have reported this morning that En-Nesyri has reservations about England’s cold climate.
Surely any hungry striker would leap at the chance to play in the Premier League? 🫣
Not the best look for Everton's potential new striker…
Of course, he currently doesn’t have to worry much about cold weather playing in Turkey, and previously he spent years playing in Spain. This, after growing up in Morocco.
And the Liverpool Echo are also playing down the En-Nesyri links, saying ‘there is nothing happening on a potential deal for En-Nesyri as things stand’.
Everton News columnist Alan Myers also said that En-Nesyri was happy playing in Turkey.

Everton need a nimble marksman
It would not be the worst thing if Everton didn’t sign En-Nesyri.
It just seems like he is somewhat similar to the current options, being a tall player who carries an aerial threat.
It’d be refreshing if Everton went after a player who is more nimble and looks to beat the offside trap with pace, rather than a target man. Somebody a bit more technical and intricate also wouldn’t go amiss.

At the moment with Barry and Beto it just feels like there isn’t a great deal of variety, and it would potentially be more of the same if En-Nesyri came in.
But by the sounds of it, the striker may not fancy a move to Merseyside.
A Spor also reported interest from Saudi clubs, so perhaps that’s a climate he’d much prefer.
